It is critical for a Scrum Master to be aware of the team’s pulse. If a member of your team considers meetings to be pointless, it’s time to figure out why. The focus should be on the behavior rather than the individual, and the Scrum Master should attempt to speak with each team member individually, asking open-ended questions to determine why they are unable to attend the meeting. Obviously, it’s necessary to figure out what’s causing this behavior and to try to explain why the planning meeting is so important.

Each person is vital in Scrum; it’s like the wheels of a truck; if one of them breaks or malfunctions, the entire vehicle suffers. As a result, the necessity to explain the impact of his absence from the planning meeting on the entire team arises. This imbalance can be felt by the entire squad. If the issue remains unresolved, the Scrum Master might meet with his reporting manager to discuss the issue and search for methods to assist the team member and the team.
