What happens if pollen of rose gets deposited on stigmas of lily flower?

If rose pollen gets deposited on lily flower stigmas, germination will not occur because, while numerous pollens land on flower stigmas, only pollen from flowers of the same species germinate to create the pollen tube that leads to the ovary.
