Home » Interview Questions » How do you make the Stakeholders to attend the daily scrum?

One of the agile principles states that “business people and developers must work together daily throughout the project.” Stakeholders can attend daily Scrum meetings, but can remain silent until the Scrum is complete. The Scrum Master should encourage stakeholders to attend the meeting by understanding that it is worth the time.

The goal of the Daily Scrum is to know if the sprint goal will be achieved. When stakeholders come to Daily Scrum, they can know the current status of product development and adjust their expectations accordingly. You can see the actual problems your team is facing, which helps both parties. This event provides the development team with the opportunity to ask stakeholders directly. Not only can it provide a forum for discussion, but it can also identify stakeholder risks early. However, the Scrum Master should be careful that the meeting does not become a status update even if the Daily Scrum includes stakeholders. The presence of a stakeholder is not required, but it does not matter if the stakeholder exists as a listener, as it can facilitate failure resolution.
