How to Answer HR Round Questions: Why should we hire you?
Why should we hire you?
The answer must cover your qualification, experience and the strengths that match the job requirement.
Example (for Fresher)
Being a fresher, I have theoretical knowledge, but I need a platform where I can implement my knowledge in the practical field. I assure you that I will put all my efforts for the good progress of the organization. As a fresher, I need a platform to prove my ability. If I will be a part of your company, I’ll put my effort and strength to uplift your company. None is born with experience, and if you hire me, I will get professional experience through your company.
Example (for Experienced)
In my XXX years of experience as a manager, I have built-up solid motivational and team-working skills. The subjects I chose for academics would also help me prepare for this particular post. I also have the perfect combination of skills and experience that is required. On top of that, my dedication to excellent work standards will add value to the team and the company.
Dos
- Highlight your strength, skills, and accomplishments
- Emphasize on your uniqueness but keep it concise
- Give example if need to support your points and provide some evidence that shows how you contributed to the growth of the previous company in terms of revenue, goodwill, and brand
- Include the research you made on the company. For a smaller company (2 to 50 employees), you can say- “your company is open to new innovative ideas.”
Don’ts
- Don’t say- I need a job, money, or this place is close to where I live
- Don’t compare your skills to others
- Don’t say things that you get from the company, but say what the company gets from you.
